Ms. Brandstein made her debut as a television writer/producer with the series “E/R”, starring Elliot Gould for CBS, a “The Jeffersons” spin off. She also produced “Charmed Lives” for ABC a spin off of “Who’s The Boss,” and with her writing/producing partner for over 25 years “The Belles of Bleecker Street for CBS, and “No Place Like Home,” starring Amanda Bynes for Nickelodeon. She also produced and directed “Small Victories” for NBC. She has gone on to have development deals to produce and write for Columbia Television, Castle Rock, Stephen J. Cannell Productions, HBO, Act III, Film Roman, VH1, Nickelodeon and PAX tv.
As a theater director Eve continues to work in New York and Los Angeles. Her recent productions are the world premiere of “Revisiting Wildfire” at the Odyseey Theater, L.A. as well as the Off-Broadway production at the Arc Light Theater, Suzanne Whang’s one person show, “Let Go and Let Gook,” Rick Overton’s interactive comedy “Substitute Global Ambassador”, “Beyond The Beehive” Ronnie Spector’s autobiographical solo musical at the City Winery, “Waiting For Jack” – Readings of the Beat Poets, a recurring performance production with a recent show at The Autry Museum, and “Claiming Ginsberg – An Evening of Allen Ginsberg and Friend.” For Jewish Women’s Theater’s productions of “Stories From The Fringe – Women Rabbis Revealed,” “Hold Me Heal Me” and “Saffron and Rosewaterm – Persian Women’s Stories,” Recent Off-Broadway production of “Voices of Swords” at the Soho Rep. “Eve Brandstein’s Poetry In Motion,” since 1988, her legendary bi-coastal spoken word series continues as a labor or love.
